Despite having a set bedtime routine, E still refuses to sleep until 2am. Lately, she's been sleeping on our bed because whenever we put her down on her crib after rocking her to sleep, she'd wake up again and we're back from where we started 2 hours ago. So I would lay her down between us, feed her, and cuddle until she falls asleep. My neck and upper back ache all the time because I haven't found a comfortable sleeping position yet. But what I've found is the best view of my family: my daughter and husband sleeping peacefully, their long eyelashes fluttering, their mouths slightly opened, and sometimes they would sigh softly and stir at the same time. Before closing my eyes, I say a little prayer of thanks to Him for giving me such a beautiful family. The best thing that I have in my life.

An apt quote for today. The biggest typhoon that will hit the Philippines is already here and when there's a typhoon, destruction usually follows. But Filipinos are generally enduring individuals, able to get through hardships with humor and goodwill. We'd learn how to dance in the rain (and sometimes quite literally).

This is also something that He always reminds me. Instead of moaning and groaning because of setbacks, I should rise above it. It might be because I've being prepared for something bigger in the future and just feeling helpless would be the death of me.

Welcome to GV (Good Vibes) Mondays! From now on, I'll share something that hopefully will inspire at least one person to start their week right.

I got this line from my current nighttime read and it struck me because I'm in a stage where stuff keeps raining on my figurative parade. It's also typhoon season here in the Philippines and our old house couldn't keep up anymore so now I have to purge and pack our things before they get destroyed by the rain. At first I literally went crazy (thanks to my very active hormones) because of all the problems that this situation has caused; but then I realized that this is only temporary and I have to get a grip. I put my trust completely on Him and I look forward to what is in store for us after all this mess.

While things are not getting better, I find comfort that I am not alone because He is always with me and there is always a rainbow after the rain :)
